What Shakin around my Town and City?

TODAY IS MARCH 10, 2002 (and also the frist tiem I've edited my site in a while, lol)

Over the summer, I had attended a few great concerts. But tonight is the night of RATDOG @ The Scranton Cultural Center!!!! My first show since the "Allman Brothers Band" (there is info about that below)

I'm so excited about the fudging show, I wasn't even really pumped until today...I will give you details about what happened tomorrow.

*So now its March 11th, and the show was jammin last night. Heres the setlist they played:

3/10/02 Cultural Center, Scranton, PA
I: Bass/Drums > Jam > Jack Straw > Bird Song > Memphis Blues > Little Red Rooster > The Winners > It's All Over Now > Liberty

II: Blackbird@3, Me and My Uncle@3>4, When I Paint My Masterpiece@4>6 > New Speedway Boogie > Ramble On Rose > Samson and Delilah > Bass/Drums > Bird Song > Help on the Way > Slipknot! > Two Djinn > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower

E: The Weight

Entire show with DJ Logic besides "Rooster" and "Blackbird" thru "Ramble On"; "Other One" teases out of first set "Bird Song;

Bob on tambourine during "Aiko"; First "The Weight"

It was so much fun, although the Scranton Cultural Centers Ballroom is pretty small, there was almost no room to dance, but we made the best of it. I am so glad I went.

I didn't expect there to be a parking lot scene at all, but deadheads always find a way...A bunch of people met up in a parking lot behind the building (although it wasn't actually the SCC's lot...) I wanted to hear Samson and Delilah SOOO bad, and they played it :) - that was the highlight of my night!

*Also, I went to go see Phil Lesh & Friends up on Montage Mountain. It was a great show, with lots of friendly people, and wonderful music.

*The second show I ever got to see, was KISS, also at Montage..."The Farewell tour". I couldn't believe how much they showed appreciation for their fans! They kept going off about how much we were worth to them and how they would be nowhere without us. The crowd was full of true KISS fans..I remember a little kid who had his face painted up and everything. There were also some Gene Simmons look-alikes and all that good stuff. They played some of their best songs ever and definately delivered a good performance to their fans.

*The Furthur Festival was also a wonderful show. Ziggy Marley and The Other Ones performed pretty well for how old they're getting lol. It was a lot of fun. I even have a picture that was taken up there of all of my friends and neighbors from around here. I, myself am not in the picture. It just so happened that my friend Josh and I had left right before the picture had been taken to go get food or something like that. Anyway, that was an amazing show..and also an amazing trip. Well, I need to stop ramblin'.

*Another show I went to was up at the Woodlands. I saw the "Dark Star Orchestra", which is a cover band for the Grateful Dead. They play so well, and the joint was definately jumpin up there. I went up with Colleen, Bob, Nicole, and Dag...We all met up the woods before we left and we followed our other friends up there to the Woodlands. That was a crazy night, but it was one of the best nights ever!

*I also went to see Dark Star at Tinks in Scranton...I had more fun than I imagined I would! I found a guy who we'd met up at Furthur too...he has extrememly long dreads, and is very nice. The highlight of my night was when tehy played "I Know You Rider" because the line "I wish I was a headlight, on a Northbound Train!!!!!!!" was so intense, it wasawesome. They played some of the best Dead tunes that night.

*The Allman Brothers was a crazy show, I didn't expect half of the things that happened to me that did. Never buy sweet breath off of a guy who has a friend with an extremely small head!!! Oh, and ALWAYS TRUST THE GUY WITH LONG HAIR WHO SMELLS BAD. Thats all I have to say, lol. If you were there, you understand, if you weren't, you probably never will.
